Kate and Kurt Stevenson-
This singing couple have a band called "Neighborly
Deeds" and have been playing in the bay area for many
years. They sing sweet sounding ballads with a old
cosy country kinda feeling.
Danny Pearson-
Long time bay area musician and a man who loves the
outdoors. Danny plays with the recently reunited band American Music
Club. His songs are dreamy stories telling tales of love, life and
leaving.
www.americanmusicclub.com
Chris Von Sneidern-
Orginally from Syracuse New York; he eventually took
his talents to the Bay Area. Chris has about eight or
nine recordings and has been playing in the bay area
since 1993. His latest release is Headful of Words,
the best of CVS Vol. #1. His Music is a blend of power
pop poetry with elements of soul and R&B.

"Michael Zapruder is part of a rare breed, able to
weave sophisticated lyrics into sophisticated songs
without losing our interest or bagging the whole thing
in some Dylan-esque mad-grab for attention. Zapruder's
not vying for some dime-a-dozen "new Dylan" tag like
so many of that ilk. There's an ache in his voice and
a cut to the cloth of his electric guitar and
elaborate grand piano that's more Hunky Dory-Bowie and
similarly grandiose glam, and might fit on either of
Nick Cave's last two records. One of Zapruder's recent
projects was a yearlong journal in which he produced a
song per week. If there were any cliches or laspes in
writing judgement left in Zapruder, cathartic
exercises like this seem to have exorcised them.

Mark Matos- (Campo Bravo)
"A fine songwriter who... invoked the cracked tones of
Will Oldham. Highlights were many and included a take
on 'My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys' done so slowly
and prettily, it made you wonder why Waylon didn't do
it that way to begin with."

Octomutt
Neighborly Deeds
8:00 pm
OCTOMUTT are Ted Savarese and Ashley Adams and they weave
meandering guitars and slinking loops with an easygoing anchor of
standup bass. There's a definite down home, earthy feel to
Octomutt's music -- seeming very casual and off the cuff -- however
an occasional detour into more trippy, eccentric territory is
certainly not out of the question."

Solo piano...of the Blue Room Boys... this guy tickles them ivories which at one time earned him the name "Silky" Balls. If need be, ask the Acid Cabaret. I hear it's their fault.

Kira Lynn Cain
Dolly Rocker
8:00 pm
Kira Lynn Cain's music is the soundtrack to a haunted morphine-laced
prom in an early 60's mystery film, with whispers of funerals, true
love, and holy white ghosts...
"Fans of the recent Low / Dirty Three In the Fishtank collaborations should clamber and swoon to this new SF outfit. Sparse drumming and strumming, and lulling bass and strings share the space with the quietly emotive female vocals. Mellow and melancholic."

Jen Grady [The Wax Fire]
Sandman
8:00 pm
Sandman's music captures the moment when MTV hit every t.v. in America and kids in Oklahoma started dressing like the kids in the Bronx. This is fusion in the raw. Country hip hop folk rap cowboy punk whatever you want to call it--Sandman's music is political, sexy, and distinctly western. He has reclaimed the word "cowboy" and given it meaning again--something beyond rodeo and Marlboros, Texas oil barons and Toby Keith. Sandman has stepped in enough cow manure to know that music isn't necessarily more worthwhile than a good night's rest, a tall glass of water, or silence. It's just another good thing in a world full of many good things. But if you are in the mood to kick it to a spaghetti western with a different beat, you will want to take a sip of this rappin' cowboy.
