Rahel Efron
For the past two years singer/songwriter/pianist Rachel Efron has captivated Bay Area audiences with her intimate voice, her fresh approach to the piano, and her poetic lyricism. She draws from classical and jazz, both at the piano and in her vocal phrasing, creating songs that are soulful and playful. She is currently at work on her debut album,
co-produced by Jon Evans, featuring Jon Evans on bass and Scott Amendola on drums,
anticipated for release in Fall 2005.

Carvelle Wallace
“Lullabies for the jaded, clarity of the faded and truth for the body. Power soul rumble funk with literary license to lift. James Brown and Leonard Cohen become lovers. They adopt a child and raise him in Cuba with summers in Brazil and winters in Cleveland. John Lee Hooker is a part-time nanny. Nina Simone is his P.E. teacher, Bob Dylan his lunch lady. He grows up, moves to Oakland, listens to Tupac, discovers redwood trees, and borrows Toni Morrison's lucky pen to write a love song to the gods that created them. Super Live Alternative Soul and Hip-Hop”

Helene Renaut (Beam)
Beam is first and foremost a vessel for the beautiful French drawl of singer-songwriter Helene Renaut. Though the group's other three members give Beam a haunting atmosphere that is impeccably suited for the cathartic lyrical content, the main focus of this album - its real source of appeal - comes straight from Helene herself. Her thick accent adds an irresistible charm to every last one of these songs, never feeling like a tired or overemphasised shtick.

Rykarda Parasol
"In the lazy, hazy tradition of fellow salvation shucksters Nick Cave and Siouxie Sioux, singer Rykarda Parasol delivers a smoky, gin-tinged salve to
soothe the souls of the wicked."
