The Frisky Frolics are a wily 5-piece, ukulele-driven outfit specializing in long-forgotten musical gems of the 1920-30's. These self-described Tin Pan Alley Troubadours have lovingly mined through their 78 record collections and come up with a lively and varied set
of songs, combining favorite familiar standards such as 'Louise' and 'Paper Moon', with obscure and novelty numbers like, 'Cake Eatin' Man' and 'I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate'.
Having mastered a full repertoire of cheerful tunes, leader Rick Quisol (vocals,kazoo and ukulele), Steve Merritt (lead guitar, backing vocals), Pierre Laik (mandolin, backing vocals), Danny Santos (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Chris Green ( bass, backing vocals), offer a

The duo of Ms Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs and Aaron Morgan share the singin' and guitar playin' duties, and Morgan also handles the bass playin' too. Each of their songs is thoughtful, well-crafted and slightly rough around the edges much like Carolyn's lovely lino-cut cover art. Achingly intimate and pretty, and quite along the lines of folk-pop

Octomutt is a San Francisco Bay Area gigging duo comprising Ashley Adams (bass) and Ted Savarese (guitar and vocals). Each project is treated in a unique way and utilizes other instrumentalists accordingly for color and texture.
Ashley has worked with such diverse artists and groups as Phillip Greenlief, Kaudra, SF Womens Philharmonic, Eugene Chadborne, Beth Custer, Winechuggers and Trio Graufa. Ted also has a diverse background, having played in a few Ralph Carney configurations, done film work, and played sawdust floored CW juke joints throughout California.
Their shows often feature guest musicians; past guests have included Ralph Carney, Danny Frankel, Ben Vaughn, Tom Herman, Bob Forrest, Ken Emerson, Will Bernard, J. Raoul Brody, and others.
Octomutt, as described by friend and fellow musician Amy Molinelli, “sounds like San Francisco—like its skyline, like its angles, like its hills.”
